Sen Ama Nnachi wins PDP  ticket for Ebonyi South Senate amid publications

 

Senator representing Ebonyi South Senatorial district, Micheal Ama Nnachi, has emerged the winner of the rescheduled People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Senate Primaries.

 

Chairman of the five-man Electoral Panel from the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party Okechukwu Mgbabor who declared the result at Afikpo said Ama Nnachi polled 127 votes to emerge the winner after defeating Linus Okorie who scored  24.

 

Mgbabor described the process as peaceful and transparent, saying that the primary was conducted following the Electoral Act and the guidelines of PDP.

 

In his remarks, Ama Nnachi appreciated members of the party’s electoral committee for peacefully conducting themselves during the primaries.

 

He assured the people of the Ebonyi South zone that he would continue to ensure that democratic dividends reach all the nooks and crannies of the zone if given the mandate for the second term

 

Meanwhile, our Correspondent in Ebonyi State, Emmanuel Nnaji reports Linus Okoire in his verifiable social handle called on the people of the zone to remain calm, alleging that no rerun of Ebonyi South Senatorial District Primary took place.
