The Government of Rwanda has relaxed operating restrictions previously imposed on bars, nightclubs and other entertainment establishments.

The Rwanda Development Board announced this on Thursday, saying it is relaxing the ban because it’s the end of the year, the festive season has begun, and the government of Rwanda wants people to celebrate and enjoy.

It says opening hours will be extended between this Friday, 15 December and 17 January until 02:00 (local time) on working days and all-hours on Fridays, weekends and public holidays.

However, the board warned against violations, saying establishments should comply with rules around noise pollution.
