Argentina’s football federation has announced the death of one of its prominent football managers, Cesar Luis Menotti, who led the country’s national team to victory in the 1978 World Cup.

Argentina’s football federation announced his death on Sunday, saying Menotti died at the age of 85.

Menotti’s coaching career lasted 37 years in which he managed 11 clubs, two national teams and won 11 caps for Argentina in the 1960s.
