About 200 private legal practitioners from 19 Northern states in Nigeria, have volunteered to assist the Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, in winning his governorship election appeal case at the Supreme Court.

Reports say the forum, called Abba Kabir Yusuf Volunteer Lawyers Forum for the 19 – Northern States and Abuja, expressed solidarity with Yusuf, saying they want to represent the truth in the fight to reclaim Yusuf’s mandate and that of the people of Kano State

The spokesman for the lawyers, Yusuf Ibrahim, said this at a press briefing on Sunday in Kaduna, urging President Bola Tinubu and the Supreme Court not to allow Nigeria to become a one-party state.
