President Bola Tinubu, in his capacity as the Chairperson of ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, has said that good governance can help prevent coups in the West African sub-region.

This was contained in a press release by his media adviser, Ajuri Ngelale, on Sunday, which says the President also implored his counterparts in the region to prioritize good governance and collective prosperity as an essential tool to prevent unconstitutional changes of government in the region.

He said this at the 64th ordinary session of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government held in Abuja.
