Security has been beefed up in Abakaliki, Ebonyi state capital as President Muhammadu Buhari begins a two-day working visit to the state this Thursday.

Reports say different security personnel including soldiers, policemen, and operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, have been positioned at strategic locations.

President Muhammadu Buhari arrived Ebonyi around 11:15 am in the company of the Ebonyi state governor, David Umahi, and was welcomed by top government officials, and traditional rulers, among others.

 

The president will inaugurate the ultra-modern King David University of Medical Sciences, Uburu, with adjourning roads and flyover and the newly constructed presidential lounge Abakaliki.
