Presidency Set To Launch CNG-Powered Buses, Tricycles

The Presidency has said it is set to launch about 2,700 buses and tricycles powered by Compressed Natural Gas before the first year anniversary of President Bola Tinubu in office.

The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga said this on Sunday saying the federal government is set to deliver 100 conversion workshops and 60 refueling sites spread across 18 states before the end of 2024.

Recall that in October 2023, Tinubu launched the Presidential CNG Initiative to deliver cheaper, safer and more climate-friendly energy, especially for mass transit, and to ease the burden of the increased price of petrol on the masses.
