The Anambra State Police Command says it has arrested a 24-year-old vehicle theft suspect, Chidi Nwoye, and also recovered some stolen vehicles and other exhibits.
The spokesman for the command, Tochukwu Ikenga, said this to news men this Monday, saying the police operatives attached to the Isiowulu Police Division, working with local vigilantes, arrested the suspect on August 22, while he was operating a stolen tricycle.
Ikenga says Nwoye confessed to using master keys to steal vehicles and tricycles from their parked positions.
The other stolen items recovered include; one Hyundai Tucson vehicle, one tricycle, eight assorted GSM phones, several keys, ATM cards, a driver’s license, iPhone watch among many other items.
Ikenga called on the members of the public, especially those whose items may have recently been stolen, to visit Isiowulu Police Station for possible identification and recovery.
