The People’s Democratic Party, on Thursday, congratulated the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Umo Eno, on the judgment of the Supreme Court which upheld his victory in the March 18, 2023 governorship election in the state.

The apex court dismissed three separate appeals by the All Progressives Congress, Young Progressives Congress, and New Nigerian Peoples Party and their candidates against Eno on Thursday.

However, this was after counsel for the parties involved in the matter opted to withdraw the appeals.

Meanwhile, PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, termed the judgment as a victory for democracy.
