An aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the Ondo governorship election, Paul Akintelure has died.

The spokesperson of the APC in Ondo State, Alex Kalejaye confirmed the death of the aspirant this Tuesday, as he released a condolence message on behalf of the party, saying Akintelure, who was a medical doctor, died early this Tuesday in Lagos, during a brief illness.

The Ondo state chairman of the APC, Ade Adetimehin, described the deceased as a personal friend, whose contributions to the development and stability of Ondo State chapter of APC will not be forgotten.

Also, Ondo state Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa described the aspirant’s death as shocking and devastating while condoling with the people of Okitipupa Local Government Area of the state where Akintelure hails from.

Recall that the late Akintelure, who was getting ready to participate in the party’s primary slated for next month, raised an alarm last Thursday about threats to his life.
