Super Falcons returnee, Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene, has said that she is delighted to return to the women’s senior national team after about three years out.
Ngozi was handed a call-up by coach Justine Madugu, for the pre-WAFCON 2026 friendlies against Cameroon, marking her return to the team after missing the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand
The first friendly against the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon will be held on Saturday, February 28, with the return leg scheduled for Tuesday, 3rd March, 2026.
Ngozi also said that she is grateful and honoured to at least do this again, and that she is not affected by critics who claim she does not deserve a recall due to childbirth.
