The presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, has condemned the attack on his convoy in Calabar, the Cross River State capital, on Wednesday.
The incident reportedly occurred along Murtala Muhammed Highway, around the U.J. Esuene Stadium and Metropolitan Hotel, where the NDC was holding a town hall meeting.
Obi spoke hours after the incident at the party’s presidential town hall meeting in Calabar, saying his party cannot be stopped.
He said the NDC is resolute in its commitment to unite Nigeria, also saying only a united nation can successfully defeat insecurity.
