The 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has commended President Bola Tinubu for the 50 per cent slash in the price of interstate transportation fare.

Obi said this on his official X handle this Friday, saying the major concern is the implementation of the policy.

He says the Tinubu government’s first-time intervention intended to help the masses is a step in the right direction as the high cost of transportation and associated hardships are all well known.

However, he asked questions as to what becomes of the Nigerian masses after the festive season, when the seasonal palliatives have ended.
