The people of Oba in Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State, under the umbrella body, Oba Patriotic Union, have elected a 14-member executive, led by Anthony Ejiofor, as President-General, to handle the affairs of the community for the next three years.

The newly-elected President-General of the community, Ejiofor, in his post-election speech said restoration of peace, unity and security in the community would be top priority.

Recall that the Oba community has been under intense security challenge in recent times due to the massive presence of night clubs, however, Ejiofor promised that their security strategies will be reviewed and the security architecture will be strengthened to ensure such challenges do not repeat itself, even beyond their tenure.

Ejiofor also disclosed plans to set up a standard fire brigade centre to curb incessant challenges of fire outbreaks in the community.
