Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, has called on Journalists in the state to hold the Government accountable for the people.

Nwifuru said this in Abakaliki the Ebonyi State capital while speaking with members of the Ebonyi State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ.

He says holding the Government accountable can only be achievable only when media practitioners strive to be independent.

Our Correspondent in Ebonyi State, Emmanuel Nnaji, also reports that the State Chairman of NUJ, Samson Nwafor, commended the governor for his interest in human capital development, while also assuring that journalists practicing in the state are bound to strictly adhere to regulations and ethics, and anyone found wanting will face disciplinary action.
