The opposition lawmakers in the national assembly have said there is no going back on their resolve to impeach the president, Muhammadu Buhari if he fails to address the insecurity in the country within six weeks.

The lawmakers dismissed a report claiming they have backed down on the plan to remove the president at the expiration of the six-week ultimatum handed him on July the 27^th 2022.

The ultimatum follows ferocious assaults on the federal capital territory, Abuja, by terrorists who launched separate attacks on troops and the Kuje medium security custodial centre.
