A spokesman of the Nigerian police has cautioned media platforms in Nigeria against publishing content that aid lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer community, also known as LGBTQ+

Spokesman for the police in Delta State, Bright Edafe, said this this Friday in reaction to a post made on X, formerly twitter by a popular online blog celebrating the marriage ceremony of two men

Edafe condemned the tweet saying the post is ‘aiding and abetting’ same-sex marriage in Nigeria.

He reminded the public that Nigeria’s laws prohibit same sex marriage and all other activities that promote LGBTQ+ relations.
