Netanyahu rejected the plan during a cabinet meeting on Sunday saying the Israeli military will not carry out any withdrawal until Hamas is genuinely disarmed. He insisted that they will continue to thwart threats against their forces and their citizens. 

 

Reports say although Netanyahu is known to have a cordial relationship with US President Trump, who had praised the Gaza deal as a milestone for peace, he made it clear that he would be willing to challenge him on the deal. 

 

Meanwhile, Hamas, has announced that it supports the Gaza plan, and has since called on the US to push Netanyahu to accept it.
