The governor of Cross River, Bassey Otu, has assured that President Bola Tinubu will address the appointment of a member of the Peoples’ Democratic Party PDP, Asu Okang, to the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
The governor said this on Thursday while addressing protesters in Calabar, who were protesting against Okang’s appointment.
Otu said Cross River is the only state in the south-south that is under All Progressives Congress, APC, hence should be in charge of the commission.
Recall that the APC in Cross River has since faulted the appointment of Okang, who is meant to represent the state on the commission’s board.
