Argentina and Inter Miami star Lionel Messi has won a record-extending eight Ballon d’Or award.

Messi picked up the award at the 2023 ceremony ceremony in Paris, France.

The former Barcelona captain finished ahead of Erling Haaland, who placed second and Kylian Mbappe who was third.
