A Kidnapped Enugu Catholic priest, Reverend Father Marcellinus Okide, has regained freedom from his captors.
The Diocesan Chancellor, Fr Wilfred Agubuchie announced His release this Friday saying Okide was released around 8:00 pm on Thursday night.
Recall that Okide, who is a parish priest of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Amofia-Agu Affa, in the Udi Local Government Area of Enugu, was kidnapped on Sunday along with six other travellers and a ransom of N100 million was demanded for all seven victims.
However, it is unclear whether a ransom was paid before his release.
