The Public Relations Officer of the ministry, Najib Umar, made this known to newsmen this Tuesday, saying the Commissioner for Local Government and Community Development in Jigawa state, Ibrahim Hannun-Giwa, approved the suspension.
This comes after similar suspensions of political aides at the state level in recent weeks, as political tension in the state heats up following the recently concluded APC primary election.
According to reports, the political atmosphere in Jigawa has been tense since the APC primaries, with several incumbent lawmakers across different state constituencies losing their return tickets during the exercise.
Furthermore, the ministry directed all affected appointees to hand over government property in their custody without delay.
