The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Imo State, Samuel Anyanwu, has debunked claims that he has stepped down for Governor Hope Uzodimma of the All Progressives Congress.

Anyanwu’s spokesperson, Ikenna Onuoha, told residents of the state this Friday to disregard the video making the rounds stating that he opted out of the race

A video had been making rounds on social media since Thursday night claiming that Anyanwu had opted out of the race and backed Uzodimma.

However, he has described the video as fake, mischievous, and misleading, alleging that the Imo State governor Governor Uzodimma is behind the video aimed at deceiving the public.
