Hungary’s prime minister says his government will not back the european union’s new proposed sanctions package, against russia, which includes an embargo on oil imports.

speaking to newsmen this friday, viktor orban said the embargo would be like dropping an “atomic bomb” on the hungarian economy.

orban said hungary’s geography and existing energy infrastructure make a shutdown of russian oil unfeasible.

he, however, said hungary is open to other proposals if they didn’t harm the nation’s interest.
