Heartland FC coach, Christian Obi has expressed delight at his team’s victory over Abia warriors.

Obi told newsmen this Thursday that he is excited to have broken the jinx of winless run in the ongoing 2023/2024 NPFL season.

This victory comes after 17 unsuccessful attempts with a 2-0 win over Abia Warriors in Awka in a Match Day 25 Oriental Derby on Wednesday. 

He thanked everyone who have supported the team in the past while, saying the team is climbing the ladder one after the other.

With this victory, Heartland has moved to place 19th place on the table.
