The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has said the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, should seize the opportunity of the November 11 governorship elections in Imo, Bayelsa, and Kogi states to redeem its allegedly battered image.
The National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Debo Ologunagba, said this in Abuja on Sunday, while acknowledging the promise by INEC to fully use the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System, BVAS, and the Result Viewing portal to upload election results.
Ologunagba said the PDP would hold INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, directly responsible and accountable for his pronouncements.
He also used the opportunity to again, demand for the transfer of the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in Imo State, Sylvia Agu, saying she’s openly compromised as she is a direct relation of a national officer of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
