A socio-cultural group, Ogoni Development Drive, ODD, has called on the elders of Ikwerre ethnic nationality in Rivers State to prevail on the council chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area of the state Samuel Nwanosike, , to desist from demeaning the office of the state governor.

The group stated that Nwanosike, who is a strong political ally of the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has developed a penchant for pouring insults on Governor Siminilayi Fubara without recourse to his revered office.

Convener of the ODD, Solomon Lenu, Celestine Michael, Secretary among others, has called called on the security agencies to investigate Nwanosike.

The group has said that there was a need for it to rise in the defence of Governor Fubara, who is from Rivers South East senatorial district with the Ogonis.
