Enugu State governor, Peter Mbah, has constituted a 7-man investigative committee on the Enugu State College of Education Technical (ESCET).

Governor Mbah, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Chidiebere Onyia, sez the committee’s terms of reference are to investigate grave allegations of mismanagement and corrupt administrative practices in the management of the institute and its Governing Council.

They will also throughly investigate the alleged fraud involving Bluetag Technologies, a financial firm contracted to collect fees for the college with an unresolved issue of over N84 million, and also ascertain the validity of the alleged undue recruitment process.

The committee is also expected to probe the subsequent increase in the college’s monthly subvention and provide recommendations on the appropriate measures and actions based on their findings.
