We have news that in a bid to avert an industrial action from the Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities, NASU, and the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, SSANU; the Federal Government has fixed a meeting with the unions for this Thursday.

The meeting is coming after the expiration of a two-week ultimatum issued to the Federal Government by the Joint Action Committee, JAC, of SSANU and NASU to pay them their four-month withheld salaries or they would shut down universities.

The meeting is to be held at the Office of the Minister of Education by 1 pm this Thursday to address their contentious issues.
