We have news that the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, is scheduled to meet with the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC this Thursday as part of his reconciliatory move to resolve the crisis upsetting the party.

Obi’s 2023 campaign spokesman, Yunusa Tanko, confirmed that the meeting is a continuation of the reconciliation process; however he said it would not be a joint meeting.

He says Obi is only meeting with all the aggrieved stakeholders’ one after the other.

Recall that about a week ago, members of the NLC National Transition Committee set up to take over the control of party affairs, invaded the LP headquarters in Abuja demanding Abure’s resignation.

Obi, who happened to be at the secretariat, intervened, calling for peace between the LP and the NLC.
