Amnesty International Commends ECOWAS Ruling on #EndSars Rights Violation
Amnesty International has commended the ruling of the ECOWAS Court, which ordered the Federal Government to conduct a fresh investigation into rights violations that occurred during the October 2020 #EndSARS protests across Nigeria.
 
The ECOWAS Court of Justice in Abuja ruled on Wednesday that Nigeria violated the rights of citizens during the 2020 EndSARS protests.
 
The ECOWAS Court affirmed the violation of the rights of three Nigerians including, Perpetual Kamsi, Dabiraoluwa Adeyinka, and Obianuju Udeh popularly known as DJ Switch, who participated in the protest at Lekki Toll Gate, and ordered the FG to pay them 2M naira each 
 
The Director of Amnesty International Nigeria, Isa Sanusi, commended ECOWAS on Wednesday saying the ruling is in line with its duty to promote and protect human rights under international law,
