Kenyan Youths Insist on Ruto’s Resignation from Office

Kenyan Youths have dismissed the decision of Kenya’s President William Ruto to sack most of his cabinet, saying they will not be satisfied until he steps down from office.

The youths made this known on X this Friday after Ruto dismissed all cabinet ministers on Thursday, including the attorney-general, leaving only the Foreign Minister Musalia Muda-vadi and Deputy President Riga-thi Gacha-gua.

Ruto also promised to engage in extensive consultations across different sectors and political formations to set up a broad-based government.

However, the youths who have organized massive protests in the past weeks against a finance bill that proposed tax hikes in that country, have warned that they will resume street protests if Ruto does not step down.
