In a bid to speed up delivery on his campaign promises, the Governor of Enugu State, Peter Mbah, has said his political appointees would be assessed by the performance benchmarks set for all the Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.

Mbah stated this at the end of a three-day Executive Leadership Retreat which was organized for senior political appointees at the Nike Lake Resort in Enugu, stating that his administration desires to increase the state’s economy from $4.4bn to $30bn.

He says the objective is achievable if the political appointees apply the knowledge gained at the retreat to disrupt the status quo which was no longer acceptable.
