Elom Inaugurates Ultra-Modern Medicine Outpost

The Vice-Chancellor of Alex Ekwueme Federal University in Ebonyi State, Sunday Elom, has inaugurated an ultra-modern community medicine outpost constructed by the Federal Government for the training of the University’s medical students and the provision of quality health services for the general public.
Elom, who was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, Ameh Akoh says the community medicine outpost which is situated at Ebunuwana Community in Afikpo South Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, is a major milestone of his administration.
He thanked former Senator, Sonny Ogbuoji, who represented Ebonyi South in the National Assembly from 2007-2015, for facilitating the construction of the hospital.
The Chief Medical Officer of the University’s Teaching Hospital, Emeka Ogah and the President General of the Town Union, Ama Odu, also expressed their happiness on the completion and inauguration of the project.
Our Correspondent in Ebonyi State, Emmanuel Nnaji, gathered that the facility is one of the eleven modern health facilities situated in different parts of the country, geared toward the provision of 21st-century medical education to students and an avenue for providing quality health services to the people.
