EFCC Adresses Journalist In Awka

As part of efforts to publicize it’s presence in Anambra state and to tackle financial crimes, the Management of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, held a breakfast meeting with journalists, in Awka, the state capital on Tuesday, 24th March 2026.

The EFCC officials who were in charge of the meeting include the pioneer Zonal Director of the Commission, Atiba Sunday, Head of the Legal Department, Onoja Mary and Head of investigation, Effiong Ita.

They urged citizens to present evidence of financial crimes and other disputes for prompt investigation, saying that the Commission’s office in Udoka Estate in Awka, serves both Anambra and Imo states.

The Zonal Director of the Commission, Atiba Sunday, mentioned some channels to report evidence of financial crimes to the EFCC, including the Confidential Eagle app which allows anonymous reports to be made as well as the Whistle Blower option which pays 2.5 percent of recovered loot to anyone who reports a crime that leads to recovery.
