Enugu Electricity Distribution Company, EEDC has debunked claims by Ebonyi state governor, Francis Nwifuru that the Disco does not supply residents of Ebonyi state up to 4 hours of electricity daily.

The head of corporate communications at EEDC, Emeka Ezeh, says that although there’s a lot of room for improvement at EEDC, its service to its customers in Ebonyi is not as bad as was portrayed by the governor as there are feeders in the state that supply up to 20 hours of electricity.

He explained that the feeders in Ebonyi, citing Afikpo feeder and the Township feeder as an example, supplies up to 20 hours and 17 hours of electricity respectively.

He also said this can be verified as the Disco has invested in a technology that records hour by hour radiation of energy from every feeder.

Ezeh also admitted that there could be local faults with sub stations which prevent end users from enjoying electricity supply; however he said such faults can be reported and it would be resolved.
