Ecuador’s president has ordered the neutralization(make them scatter the plans of criminal gangs in the country after days of violence culminated in an attack on a television studio.

It will be recalled that masked gunmen broke into public television channel IC’s live studio during a broadcast, forcing staff to the floor and injuring two employees in the process.

Also recall that at least 10 people have been killed since a 60-day state of emergency began in Ecuador last Monday after a a notorious gangster disappeared from his prison cell.

Police have now made 13 arrests following the attack while neighbouring Peru, have ordered the immediate deployment of a police force to the border to prevent any instability spilling over into the country.
