Ebonyi Government reduces fees of Ebonyi State University by ten percent

Ebonyi State Government has said it has reduced the school fees of student schooling in Ebonyi State University by ten percent, and also approved a twenty percent salary increment for the Academic Staff of the University and a ten percent increment for non-academic staff of the Institution. 

 

Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru made this known to newsmen saying Education, Health and Human Capital Development remains priorities in his Government. As such they will have they feet firmly on the ground to develop those critical sectors in that State.

 

 He also announced the upward review of the University monthly subvention that they get from the State government from two hundred million naira to two hundred and eighty million naira, saying his administration has commenced upgrading of infrastructure in the University to give the University a facelift.

 

Our Correspondent in Ebonyi State, Emmanuel Nnaji, reports that Nwifuru said in line with the Memorandum of Understanding between the Federal Ministry Of Health and Ebonyi State Government, the Alex Ekwueme University Teaching Hospital, AE-FUTA II located along Abakaliki – Enugu Express Way is now known and to be called Ebonyi State University Teaching Hospital.
