The former Deputy Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Odefa Obasi, along with some of his supporters, has defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The spokesperson of APC in Ebonyi State, Ogbuatu Chidi, made this known to journalists in that state on Thursday.

Ogbuatu said Ebonyi State has witnessed remarkable transformation and progress under the administration of Governor Francis Nwifuru, hence Odefa’s decision to dump the People’s Democratic Party, PDP for the APC.

Our Correspondent in Ebonyi State, Emmanuel Nnaji, reports that Ogbuatu called on the defectors to put in their best in support of APC and the government of Ebonyi State, saying their decision to join APC demonstrates a commitment to the development and welfare of that state.
