The Nigeria Police Force has denied reports that it sold the Falomo police Barracks in Lagos State.
The Lagos State Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, debunked the reports this Tuesday explaining that the leadership of the police force entered a partnership arrangement with sub-national governments and reputable developers to carry out a redevelopment initiative on the barracks.
He also says occupants of Blocks A and B in the barracks have been paid two million Naira as a relocation allowance to facilitate their temporary relocation.
Adejobi says the plan is not to sell the Falomo barracks but to redevelop it and other barracks into more befitting and modern barracks for police personnel and their families nationwide.
