Officials in Ethiopia say the number of lives lost as a result of the landslide in the southern part of the country has risen to 146.
The landslide occurred in Geze-Gofa district of Gofa zone in Ethiopia on Monday after heavy rains.
The last death toll given was 55 but the Gofa zone Communications Affairs Department quoted a local official Habtamu Fetena, saying the death toll has reached 146.
Habtamu says the bodies of 96 men and 50 women have been found so far, and many more might be found as they continue vigorous searching.
