The Anambra State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Maku Olatunde, has called on Intelligence officers across the twenty one local government areas of the state to strategize on proactive measures to gather critical information and stay ahead of criminal elements.

In a meeting held on Tuesday at the State Command Headquarters of the NSCDC in Awka, Maku charged the officers to be vigilant, proactive, and innovative in their approach to gathering and analysing information to aid in the reduction of crime within the state.

Speaking at the meeting, the Head of the Intelligence and Investigation Department, Amadi Marcel, says with the renewed focus on intelligence gathering, the NSCDC Anambra State Command was ready to further reduce crime levels and ensure a safer and more secure environment for citizens and residents of the state.

Maku now calls for enhanced collaboration with other security agencies, stakeholders and the public to bridge the intelligence gap and ensure a safer and more secure Anambra State.
