The senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, has commended President Bola Tinubu for signing the Southeast Development Commission Bill into law.

Ubah in a press statement praised Tinubu for his commitment to addressing the challenges facing the development of the South East.

Ubah’s Special Adviser on Media and Strategic Communications, Chuks Ogbonna, says the bill would foster rapid development and unity in the region.

Ubah also says the bill which is aimed and establishing a commission responsible for managing funds allocated from the Federation Account for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of roads, houses, and other infrastructural damage suffered by the region due to the civil war, would also tackle ecological problems and related environmental or developmental challenges in Abia, Imo, Enugu, Anambra, and Ebonyi States.
