The Chief of Defence Staff, Olufemi Oluyede, has reaffirmed the commitment of the Armed Forces of Nigeria to operating as a people-centred, ethically grounded, and professionally accountable military.

Oluyede said this at the opening ceremony of the Human Security and Gender Advisers Course held at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Abuja, this Tuesday.

Oluyede commended the British Defence Staff for their sustained support and cooperation in strengthening the operational effectiveness of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, especially in the area of civil-military relations.

He also noted that the collaboration reflects the enduring defence partnership between Nigeria and the United Kingdom, and a common commitment to people-oriented approaches to national security.
