Suspect arrested after July 4th mass shooting

United States police have arrested a suspect following the mass shooting that occurred at its Independence Day parade in Highland Park, Illinois, in which 6 people were killed.

The police say the suspect, 22 year old, Robert Crimo III, was detained after a brief chase.

Although, Crimo was referred to as a “person of interest” after the shooting, after his arrest, the police say they believe he is responsible.

Reports say the gunman climbed on to a roof, shooting randomly at spectators using a high-powered rifle.
