Cameroon has emerged as the winner of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, WAFCON, for the first time ever, after defeating Malawi 3-0 in Rabat on Sunday.
Cameroonian players Marie Ngah Manga, and Naomi Eto scored the winning goals for their country.
Cameroon, who had previously lost three WAFCON finals, has now become the fourth nation to win the title after Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea and South Africa.
They will also join Malawi, Algeria and Morocco at the 2027 Women’s FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
