Cameroon secured first place in Group D at the CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Morocco 2026 after a 1-1 draw against Cape Verde in their final group-stage match in Casablanca on Thursday.
The result ensured the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon completed the group stage unbeaten, recording two wins and a draw to finish on seven points.
They will now face Nigeria on Saturday for a quarter final.
Cape Verde, meanwhile, exited the competition with a historic first-ever point in their debut WAFCON campaign.
