The Governor of Enugu State, Peter Mbah, has visited the site of the collapsed bridge between the new artisan flyover and the NNPC mega station of the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway.
Reacting to the bridge collapse, Mbah called for a new road maintenance model to guarantee better condition and longevity of Nigerian roads while also urging the Federal Government to concession federal roads to states for proper maintenance.
Recall that the flyover which connects the highbrow Independence Layout area of Enugu city with the fast-developing Goshen Estate, Premier Layout, Dunamis Church and the new Artisan Market, reportedly collapsed early on Monday.
