Borno Abduction: Troops Rescue Nine More Victims

Troops of the 82 Division Task Force under Operation HADIN KAI have rescued nine abductees, including women and children, during separate patrol operations around Armuda Bridge in Ngoshe, Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.

The development was disclosed in a report by Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency and security analyst covering the Lake Chad region.

According to the report, the rescues were carried out on July 14 during routine military patrols around the Armuda Bridge area, where troops rescued abductees who had reportedly escaped from terrorist captivity.

Makama reported that the first rescue occurred at about 6:00am, when troops conducting a perimeter patrol spotted three frightened children running towards their position near the bridge.

The children were identified as Aisha Saleh, 11year old, Ummi Haruna, 12year old and Hauwa Ali, 9year old.
