The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Bishop Matthew Kukah has urged the Federal Government to be decisive in dealing with the insecurity ravaging the northern regions of the country by questioning persons who claim to have close ties with bandits.
Kukah said this in a television interview this Tuesday as he expressed concern with the spate of school kidnappings and the resultant psychological effect of such abductions on the children.
He criticized the Federal Government’s lack of interrogation of individuals claiming close ties with bandits, as he encouraged collaborations between security agencies and persons with knowledge of the situation
Meanwhile, the Federal Government says security operatives have invited Kaduna-based Islamic cleric Ahmad Gumi for questioning over his comments about the activities of bandits.
